Great little historic hotel, but its important to remember this is a little place with lots of charm, it is not a luxury 'historic' hotel that has become so common in Colorado. Rooms are clean with the essential amenities, and the old school elevator is just way too cool. Definitely a great base camp if you want to explore the Victor/Cripple Creek/Mueller Park area but dont want to stay at a casino in Cripple Creek. Victor is a nice quiet town, with some cute shops and a few restaurants. Photo is gorgeous room from hotel window.
Didn't stay at the hotel. I got a burger at the restaurant and it was amazing. The bun was crispy and delicious. Service was incredibly friendly. Took awhile to get the bill due to only one person being on staff, but I'm sure we could've called him over and he'd be there. Betelguese was the best server you could ask for.
Gorgeous nostalgic hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the friendly staff whom provided excellent service. So much history in that hotel and town of Victor.
Guests of this hotel Sept. 17-21. My husband and I loved everything about it. It was like stepping back in time to a much simpler life. The rooms were very nice and clean. And we loved the "old" lavatories. They gave the rooms the feel of nostalgia. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. We loved the period furniture in the pretty lobby. And the birdcage elevator---was beautiful and unigue. The town itself was so interesting and people very friendly. If you want a cookie cutter hotel, go to the big noisy city. If you want a great experience in a great town full of history and charm, you will love the Victor Hotel.
Rooms were nice. We got in late and had some difficulty trying to find somewhere to eat dinner. Would've been nice if there had been a desk person to help with that or even direct us to how to get to our room. The road to Victor is very winding and leaving victor the next morning it was very slick navigating it
Side note: there is a very nice small bar and restaurant, also.
